Our own site, built the same way we build a client's: a hand-crafted WordPress theme with a native admin behind it, no page builder, no ACF, nothing a non-developer can't change.
The brief
Turn ace21.co.uk from a static concept into a real, fully admin-editable WordPress site — every page, image and piece of copy changeable from wp-admin by someone who isn't a developer, without a single page-builder or ACF-style plugin underneath it.
An admin framework, not a plugin
Rather than reach for ACF, we build from scratch — twelve field types (text, image, repeaters with conditional sub-fields, an icon picker, and more) that every content system in the theme is built on. No license, no update risk, no bloat.
Content that runs itself
A central "Ace21 Details" admin page for the handful of things reused across pages (offices, stats, contact recipients), a WP-native nav menu, a central gallery manager, and per-post SEO metaboxes with a focus keyword — the pieces that let the site keep itself up to date.

Launch-ready, not just launched
A holding/coming-soon page with its own signup capture, a full accessibility and security pass (colour contrast, focus management, ARIA labelling, touch targets), and a branded wp-admin and login screen — the unglamorous work that makes a site trustworthy, not just good-looking.
Still being built on
That's not all we've been working on, we've built out our new case studies section, added FAQs with a FAQ library in the admin driving it, and adding in a new animated CTA block that can be used across the site.
